Software Developer, UI/UX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and design specifications for new and existing business systems.

• Develop, test, and implement significant modifications to current systems.

• Revise or create interfaces that integrate equipment or software into various applications or platforms.

• Plan and carry out version upgrades for assigned systems to comply with Navy deadlines.

• Code and deliver user interfaces, including both new and updated web applications.

• Create branches and merge code using version control tools.

• Code web application UIs utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Program in a high-level object-oriented programming language such as Java or .NET.

• Use an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to write new code and debug existing code.

• Troubleshoot and support web applications across various browsers, including Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

• Collaborate with developers within a shared codebase using Git.

• Set up, configure, and operate web application servers.

• Support DoD and DON information technology systems, including application development, data interoperability, system design, management, and maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience with required software development technologies.

• Proven experience in translating application requirements into fully operational software solutions for end-users.

• Experience in participating in design discussions and conducting code reviews.

• Familiarity with developing and maintaining unit tests for coded functionalities.

• Experience in reviewing code and data for security vulnerabilities while adhering to safety standards.

• Experience in assisting with database construction based on approved designs and industry best practices.

• At least one DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Active DoD security clearance is necessary.

• Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Visio, banners and icons, and UI/UX across various platforms.
