This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Create and sustain Shopify storefronts, themes, and integrations.
• Customize Shopify features utilizing Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and APIs.
• Develop responsive, high-performance front-end user interfaces.
• Convert Figma designs into production-ready code.
• Integrate external applications and APIs.
• Enhance performance, accessibility, and page loading speed.
• Create A/B and multivariate tests leveraging JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Set up and implement experiments using VWO, Optimizely, or Convert.
• Conduct quality assurance on experiments across different browsers and devices prior to launch.
• Troubleshoot live experiments and resolve rendering or tracking issues.
• Interpret experiment briefs and designs into quantifiable variants.
• Oversee development and experiment tasks via JIRA.
• Manage multiple tickets and priorities simultaneously.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, strategists, and account managers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-documented code.
• Identify bugs, technical risks, performance challenges, and areas for enhancement.
• Keep JIRA tickets updated with progress, obstacles, and timelines.
• Clearly communicate technical concerns, inquiries, errors, fixes, and rollback strategies.
• Work closely with the CTO and the development team.
• Be readily available and responsive during agreed working hours.
• 2–3 years of practical web development experience.
• Significant Shopify development experience.
• Advanced skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including direct manipulation of the DOM.
• Strong understanding of Shopify Liquid.
• Practical experience in building and quality assuring A/B tests using a conversion rate optimization platform like VWO, Optimizely, or Convert.
• Ability to comprehend, debug, and enhance AI-generated code.
• Experience in converting Figma designs into production-ready front-end code.
• Knowledge of front-end performance optimization and best practices.
• Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Must reside in North America.
• Must maintain consistent availability during Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT).
• Reliable internet connectivity is essential.
• Must own development equipment and tools.
• Active participation in meetings and team communication is required.
