Software Developer IV, Golang, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the RackAI platform architecture.

• Create and implement highly scalable backend services utilizing Go (Golang).

• Construct Kubernetes-native applications, including operators, controllers, and platform services, using controller-runtime and kubebuilder.

• Establish and refine the architecture of the RackAI platform to ensure growth, reliability, security, and operational excellence.

• Build the APIs, automation frameworks, and platform functionalities that drive AI-enabled products.

• Advocate for cloud-native best practices such as observability, resiliency, and operational preparedness.

• Foster an AI-driven engineering culture.

• Mentor engineers to maximize the benefits of AI tools, while continuously evaluating new technologies to integrate.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of nine years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in Go (Golang) development at an expert level.

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, including architecture, operations, and application development.

• Demonstrated experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and service-oriented architecture.

• Solid foundation in software design patterns, CI/CD, DevOps, Git-based workflows, and secure coding practices.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Kiro, Codex, and GitHub Copilot.

• Familiarity with contemporary Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Understanding of AI inference concepts, including model serving, latency, throughput, batching, performance enhancements, and optimizations related to model inference.

• Knowledge of model fine-tuning methodologies, such as supervised fine-tuning (SFT), LoRA, and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT).
