Software Developer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct maintenance on current software products under the guidance of Senior Software Developers and Software Engineers.

• Create Transact-SQL procedures and packages.

• Develop scripts in Microsoft, Perl, and Unix Shell.

• Engage in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.

• Offer ongoing operations support to clients via email.

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions based on business needs.

• Design and code both new and existing applications and components.

• Take part in code review sessions.

• Execute unit and integration testing.

• Diagnose QA and production issues.

• Draft technical documentation in accordance with departmental standards.

• Write programs based on specifications provided by senior staff members.

• Collaborate with Analysts, Developers, QA, and documentation teams.

• Contribute to the standards of the software development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.

• At least six months of programming experience is necessary.

• Familiarity with and experience in all facets of the software development life cycle.

• Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and development, including relevant documentation techniques.

• Experience with Unix and Oracle is preferred.

• Strong technical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
