Software Developer – Frontend, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As a Frontend Developer (m/f/d) with a focus on React, you will collaborate within an agile team to enhance our web frontend solutions as part of our CAIGOS GIS products.

• You will be involved in the complete development lifecycle – from defining functional requirements to ensuring quality assurance.

• Design, develop, and maintain contemporary web frontend applications utilizing React and TypeScript, while creating and implementing user-friendly interfaces.

• Assess functional requirements and convert them into scalable frontend concepts and architectures, contributing to and advancing reusable UI components.

• Collaborate closely with backend developers to integrate and utilize REST APIs and other interfaces.

• Integrate and uphold interfaces and data formats (such as REST/JSON, and optionally Protobuf).

• Engage in an agile development environment following the Scrum methodology.

• Implement test-driven development practices and support frontend test automation (including unit and UI tests).

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, or a related field.

• Experience in frontend development ranging from a few to several years, ideally with React.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Familiarity with modern web technologies, build tools, and package managers (e.g., npm, Vite, Webpack).

• Experience in integrating REST APIs and dealing with structured data formats.

• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design practices.

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Organized and independent working style with excellent teamwork abilities.

• Proficient in German, both spoken and written.
