Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy robust web applications utilizing Next.js and contemporary JavaScript.

• Convert initial designs, wireframes, and delivery specifications into functional, maintainable components and interfaces.

• Create and sustain secure connections between HR/payroll systems, client databases, and internal tools.

• Deploy, manage, and operate applications within Microsoft Azure, leveraging App Services, Storage Accounts, Entra ID, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Write and maintain automated testing frameworks.

• Engage in code reviews both as an author and a reviewer.

• Monitor production environments and proactively investigate issues.

• Implement long-term solutions that address underlying issues.

• Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical decisions and estimations.

• Thoroughly document all delivered work.

• Handle sensitive employee and payroll data with care, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of proven commercial experience in developing and deploying production-quality applications.

• Extensive practical expertise in Next.js, React routing, data fetching, SSR, SSG, ISR, and the broader React ecosystem.

• Strong command of modern ES JavaScript, asynchronous programming techniques, and API integration.

• Expected proficiency in TypeScript for writing clean, type-safe code.

• Excellent frontend and CSS capabilities, along with a solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility fundamentals.

• Experience in building and maintaining REST, GraphQL, and Webhook integrations.

• Familiarity with writing automated unit and integration tests.

• Active participation in code reviews.

• Proven security practices for managing environment variables, encryption, secrets, and sensitive employee/payroll information.

• Exceptional proficiency in written English is a strict requirement.

• Ability to document work comprehensively and articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• Hands-on experience with Azure is preferred.

• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is advantageous.

• Basic to intermediate skills in Python are desirable.

• Experience with HRIS, ATS, or payroll systems integration is a plus.
