Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Supervise the coding, testing, and debugging of software while preparing test data.

• Oversee the creation and development of flowcharts and diagrams.

• Prepare instructions for production runs and coordinate user manuals or guides.

• Lead research and analysis efforts for project proposals, modifications to software and systems, as well as new initiatives.

• Evaluate computer applications, equipment requirements, capabilities, and database schemas.

• Write and execute SQL code, along with deploying packages and triggers.

• Review and modify programs to enhance operational efficiency or incorporate new procedures.

• Analyze logs, system messages, thread connectivity, memory usage, disk I/O, and available disk space to troubleshoot application problems.

• Collaborate with staff to schedule work and manage programming projects.

• Prepare analyses, plans, diagrams, and verification processes for computer applications.

• Establish programming standards, procedures, interfaces, and reports.

• Design and implement specialized programs to improve systems software.

• Suggest, coordinate, and implement enhancements for application and system performance.

• Create and uphold backup and restoration processes to ensure business continuity.

• Coordinate, assign, and monitor the work of team members.

• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to approved work hours.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Java is required.

• At least 10 years of experience with SQL databases is required.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in sustaining and developing support for large applications within a team environment is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in Linux is required.

• A preferred 8 years of experience with the Atlassian tool suite, particularly JIRA.

• An 8-year experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.

• A preferred 2 years of experience with Client applications and Client Safety environments.

• A preferred 2 years of experience in transitioning applications from legacy mainframe environments to Java/SQL environments.
