Software Configuration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and execute the GitHub Enterprise and Git Flow methodology for a team of more than 180 developers.

• Implement GitHub processes that involve versioning, tagging, branching strategies, and Git scripting.

• Develop various strategies that feature a centralized version control model using Git Flow alongside standard Git practices.

• Improve processes for branch automation related to software releases.

• Collaborate with project teams to establish build release schedules and take ownership of the packaging and build process.

• Ensure code synchronization across all environments.

• Advance CI/CD practices to integrate automated testing within Jenkins.

• Explore opportunities for enhancing processes.

• Participate in meetings including, but not limited to, CM Scrum, HDM Daily Touchbase, weekly CRB, and weekly deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools, and automation.

• Strong development expertise using various development tools, techniques, and platform technologies.

• Subject matter expert in Jenkins deployments with in-depth knowledge of Jenkins and GitHub.

• Expertise in manual deployments, particularly with SSH access.

• Experience in JavaScript development.

• Familiarity with UNIX environments and proficiency in navigating UNIX.

• Subject matter expert in Git/Bash scripting.

• Experience with tools across diverse platforms and environments such as Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, AI, etc.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members, including experience in documenting and presenting findings.

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Willingness to support after-hours software deployments, averaging one night per week.

• Highly detail-oriented.

• Strong interpersonal skills, as this role involves direct customer interaction.
