Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and manage high-scale, mission-critical production systems that are modular, composable, and extensible.

• Lead the transition of legacy systems towards a modern target-state architecture.

• Act as a liaison between Engineering and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of business needs with technical designs.

• Produce technical documentation and intricate system diagrams.

• Conduct design sessions and facilitate distributed discussions while maintaining ownership within the engineering team.

• Oversee and enhance cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, focusing on performance, cost efficiency, and regional deployment requirements.

• Guide engineering teams, promoting technical excellence and a culture of continuous learning.

• Keep abreast of computing technologies and emerging trends for potential adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building and managing large-scale distributed systems.

• Advanced skills in high-level service design and scalable interface modeling.

• In-depth knowledge of data persistence layers and the selection of technology for specific use cases.

• Significant experience with a leading public cloud provider; AWS is preferred.

• Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A hospitality-focused, service-oriented leadership style.

• Capability to propose solutions, integrate constructive feedback, and concentrate on product outcomes.

• Proven expertise in a specific area, such as Front-end or Data Architecture.
