Social Series Producer/Director, Freelance

📋 Description

• Transform incoming concepts into viable, platform-specific series with a distinct creative vision and structured logic.

• Oversee scripting and story development, including outlines, run-of-show documentation, and detailed episode scripts or frameworks.

• Select on-camera talent suitable for short-form social media; qualities like on-camera charisma, credibility, and audience compatibility are as crucial as qualifications.

• Assemble and manage production teams tailored to fit the format and budget requirements.

• Coordinate all logistics: scheduling, locations, permits, production planning, and day-of execution.

• Direct on set with a clear perspective while remaining adaptable to real-world conditions.

• Guide the post-production process: direct the edit, provide clear and actionable feedback, and ensure the final cut is locked.

• Deliver completed episodes ready for posting, formatted, captioned, and optimized for various platforms.

• Work closely with the internal team throughout all stages, integrating feedback during development, production, and post-production.

• Engage in client-facing discussions when necessary, clearly and confidently representing the creative process.

• Demonstrated experience in producing and directing highly-visible original series or viral content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.

• Confidence in managing the entire production pipeline independently; you understand the necessary steps and execute them effectively.

• Strong instincts for short-form storytelling, including pacing, structure, hooks, and elements that captivate an audience.

• Proven experience in building and leading streamlined teams while overseeing production logistics from start to finish.

• Strong editorial sensibility; capable of directing an edit rather than just reviewing it.

• Naturally collaborative, with a low ego, receptive to feedback, and able to incorporate it without compromising your perspective.

• Ability to work swiftly without compromising quality standards.
