Social Media Content Creator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate and brainstorm with members of the social media team to develop engaging and emotionally resonant content using both text and visuals for PETA's Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok platforms.

• Address priorities from various departments to raise awareness of PETA's key issues and inspire the public to consider animal welfare.

• Liaise with different departments to ensure that posts are not only engaging but also factually accurate and emotionally impactful.

• Evaluate content performance and audience engagement to enhance successful strategies and expand the follower base.

• Understand audience preferences and produce content designed for optimal sharing.

• Investigate current social media trends and memes, creatively integrating them into PETA's initiatives.

• Engage in real-time posting, which may include working during evenings, weekends, holidays, and in urgent breaking-news scenarios.

• Travel locally to produce TikTok content or gather material during protests in the vicinity.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess or have access to reliable transportation, such as a car or public transit, as content collection will be a requirement of the role, occasionally on short notice.

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience in creating content for social media brand pages, with a proven track record of driving engagement and performing analysis.

• Familiarity with the primary demographics on Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook, along with the ability to craft captivating content for each audience.

• Proficiency in Photoshop and Premiere is advantageous; knowledge of other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is a plus.

• Strong writing and organizational skills are essential.

• Openness to feedback and a willingness to improve.

• Ability to work efficiently and navigate a complex organization with diverse objectives.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, perform well under pressure, and meet deadlines.

• Capability to deliver high-quality work within tight timeframes.

• Awareness of PETA campaigns and animal rights issues is required.

• Must align with PETA's philosophy and professionally advocate for its positions.
