SOC Analyst, SIEM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate security-related events from various sources including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, networks, servers, cloud services, and other IT systems.

• Evaluate and prioritize security alerts based on their significance, risk level, and potential effects on business operations.

• Create and enhance correlation rules, detection use cases, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

• Assist in the investigation, containment, and follow-up procedures of IT security incidents.

• Record incidents, analysis findings, decisions, and actions in a traceable and auditable format.

• Work collaboratively with IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, Information Security, Data Protection, and external security partners.

• Participate in security projects, tool deployments, and the continuous improvement of the security monitoring framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of professional experience in IT security, security operations, SIEM engineering, or IT infrastructure.

• Extensive knowledge of security monitoring, log analysis, SIEM operations, and incident detection.

• Several years of hands-on experience with FortiSIEM.

• Ideally, familiarity with other SIEM and security tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, or similar solutions.

• Understanding of Windows, Linux, networks, firewalls, Active Directory, cloud services, and endpoint security.

• Willingness to pursue relevant training and certifications.

• Capability to analyze intricate technical issues in a structured, precise, and risk-focused manner.

• Responsible, discreet, and calm demeanor when dealing with time-sensitive situations.

• Proficient in both German and English languages.
