SOC Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee global systems for identifying potential threats, vulnerabilities, and signs of compromise.

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of security alerts utilizing NCC Group's Unified Cyber Platform and its supporting detection tools.

• Deliver incident remediation strategies and preventive documentation along with recommendations to clients.

• Record and adhere to security monitoring protocols.

• Offer customer service that surpasses client expectations.

• Initiate escalation processes to address potential threats, vulnerabilities, and malicious actors.

• Gather and evaluate service-oriented reports.

• Serve as an escalation resource for junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship.

• Play a role in the ongoing enhancement of SOC procedures and documentation.

• Execute other SOC responsibilities as assigned.

• Work a 24/7 shift pattern consisting of four days on, followed by four days off, with 12-hour shifts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with security and networking tools, including Microsoft XDR (Sentinel, Defender) and Splunk Enterprise/Cloud/Enterprise Security.

• Solid understanding of network protocols, endpoint detection methods, and digital forensics.

• Comprehensive knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Practical experience in analyzing common security incidents and supporting endpoint security measures.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure and sensitive security environments.

• Preferred but not mandatory certifications or equivalent knowledge: Microsoft SC-200, AZ-500, AZ-900, MS-500; Splunk Certified User, Power User, Advanced Power User, Enterprise Security Administrator; CrowdStrike CCFR, CCFH; CREST CPSA, CRIA, CMRE, CNIA, CHIA; CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+; Cisco CCNA; SANS GCIA, GCIH, GSEC; and other relevant certifications.
