SOC Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee, categorize, and react to security alerts within the SIEM and detection framework, including Wazuh and ThreatHub.

• Elevate and manage security incidents to resolution according to the Incident Response Plan.

• Address vulnerabilities and react to security incidents effectively.

• Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.

• Enhance both internal and external processes for better efficiency.

• Manage multiple projects while ensuring alignment with brand standards, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and other stakeholders to gather necessary requirements.

• Assess options and create tools and processes that support organizational objectives.

• Work in conjunction with the security team to strengthen the company's security posture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in SOC/SIEM teams, Incident Management, and security alerts triage.

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Understanding of IAM principles, including least privilege, MFA, key rotation, and orphaned accounts.

• Familiarity with SIEM/EDR tools like Wazuh or Microsoft Defender, or similar technologies.

• Proficiency in reading logs, alerts, and basic detection rules.

• Strong written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

• Excellent organizational skills to track incidents, findings, tickets, and evidence requests.

• Ability to proactively follow up with teams, gather evidence, identify overdue deadlines, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

• Capability to independently recognize gaps or deviations and escalate them promptly.

• Certification in progress or completed is preferred, such as CompTIA Security+, CSX, Certified CyberDefender Level 1 (CCDL1), TryHackMe, or CSA.

• Familiarity with EU and USA cybersecurity regulations is a plus.

• Experience with SIEM/SOC platforms or vulnerability management tools is desirable.

• Previous experience managing security events is a plus.
