Slovak VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Possess a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical settings.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Implement standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training opportunities.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Report and communicate with your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Slovak."

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and openness to diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
