Sports Localization Specialist, Croatian – Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Review, localize, verify facts, translate, and modify sports-related content, primarily focused on football, while following established writing style guides and standards.

• Conduct market-specific research to understand local content, product and terminology trends, and the best localization practices for the intended audience in your market.

• Provide constructive feedback on written materials.

• Review and tailor football-related content to ensure it resonates with audiences in the designated target market.

• Execute quality control, translation, copy editing, and machine translation post-editing (MTPE).

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• In-depth knowledge of sports, with a primary focus on football.

• Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content, preferably including machine translation and evaluations.

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.

• Exceptional grammar and writing abilities in the native language.

• Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing capabilities in the native language.

• Solid practical understanding of computers and mobile devices, including word processors and spreadsheets.

• Possession of a licensed version of MS Office applications.

• Capability to work independently and remotely.

• Assessment of grammar and subject-matter expertise.
