This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Take ownership of the technical strategy for a range of mid-complexity accounts within a designated territory.
• Lead the technical qualification process for assigned accounts throughout the entire sales cycle.
• Design and architect solutions independently that fulfill customer requirements.
• Drive Proofs of Concept and technical validation to progress sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to shape and influence deal strategies.
• Enhance technical capabilities within channel partners through training and enablement initiatives.
• Utilize competitive positioning knowledge to outperform alternative vendors.
• Take responsibility for the technical win rate and directly impact revenue results in the territory.
• Represent Extreme Networks during customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
• Utilize Wi-Fi testing and planning tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet, and NetScout.
• Mentor junior Systems Engineers and share field expertise.
• 3-6 years of experience in networking or pre-sales engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to independently design solutions for mid-complexity, multi-product environments.
• A track record of owning technical outcomes and directly affecting revenue within a territory.
• Strong knowledge in two or more areas including Network Access Control (NAC), RADIUS, 802.1x, Active Directory, LDAP, firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention, AWS, Azure, GCP, wireless, SDN, SaaS, IPv4/v6 routing protocols, and Layer 2 switching.
• Preferred certifications include Extreme Professional, CCNP, CWNA, or similar.
• Exceptional consultative, presentation, and communication skills.
• Comfortable mentoring junior SEs and sharing field expertise.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
