SLED Strategy Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy for Iron Mountain’s State, Local, and Education (SLED) division, pinpointing opportunities to enhance market presence and foster deeper customer relationships.

• Establish, cultivate, and sustain trusted partnerships with senior government officials, education stakeholders, consultants, and cooperative purchasing entities.

• Collaborate closely with sales leadership to propel high-value opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award, driving pipeline expansion and competitive victories.

• Track legislative trends, funding initiatives, and procurement advancements to uncover actionable opportunities that align with Iron Mountain’s solutions portfolio.

• Work in partnership with marketing and leadership to enhance messaging, contribute to proposal strategies, and showcase Iron Mountain as a prominent industry leader at public sector events and strategic forums.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in public sector strategy, government relations, business development, or enterprise sales within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) sector.

• In-depth understanding of public sector procurement, legislation, budgeting cycles, and funding mechanisms.

• Demonstrated success in building executive-level relationships with government agencies, educational institutions, consultants, and strategic partners.

• Experience in working with or selling solutions related to digital transformation or service-driven solutions.

• Superior communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills, with experience in supporting industry events and thought leadership initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
