This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Conduct thorough investigations in a timely manner, including recorded statements and interviews with claimants, witnesses, and employers.
β’ Provide prompt status updates to both the case manager and the client.
β’ Ensure timely and clear documentation of all claim files.
β’ Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
β’ Create a suitable investigative action plan.
β’ Guarantee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of evidence collected during investigations, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, legal codes, and governing agencies.
β’ Deliver timely investigation results and document findings for the Claim Adjuster.
β’ Assess if additional evidence is necessary, which may include accident reports, reconstructions of accident scenes, witness statements, police reports, expert opinions, etc.
β’ Offer recommendations and decisions regarding investigative efforts.
β’ Conduct detailed database queries on SIU investigations, including the analysis and organization of key data to support the assigned investigation.
β’ Evaluate State compliance referrals when questionable or suspicious activities are detected.
β’ Maintain active involvement in professional organizations that provide assistance and resources for SIU.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with law enforcement, government regulatory agencies, and insurance industry professionals, providing assistance as needed.
β’ Strong investigative skills are essential.
β’ Must possess a keen attention to detail.
β’ Ability to identify patterns of inconsistencies that may indicate fraudulent activity.
β’ Must be capable of interacting effectively with clients, repair shops, appraisers, and employers.
β’ Ability to work autonomously.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Strong organizational and time management skills.
β’ Demonstrate knowledge of the tools and techniques required for conducting insurance claims investigations.
β’ Proficient in computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
