This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Execute prompt investigations, including gathering recorded statements and conducting interviews with claimants, witnesses, and employers.

β€’ Deliver timely status updates to the case manager and client.

β€’ Ensure clear and timely documentation of claim files.

β€’ Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

β€’ Formulate an appropriate investigative action plan.

β€’ Guarantee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of evidence collected during investigations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, legal codes, and governing agencies.

β€’ Provide the Claim Adjuster with prompt investigation results and document investigative findings.

β€’ Assess whether additional evidence is necessary, such as accident reports, accident scene reconstructions, witness statements, police reports, expert opinions, and more.

β€’ Offer recommendations and decisions regarding investigative efforts.

β€’ Conduct detailed database queries for SIU investigations, including the analysis and organization of critical data to support the assigned investigation.

β€’ Evaluate State compliance referrals, as needed, when suspicious or questionable activities are detected.

β€’ Maintain active membership in professional organizations that offer SIU support and resources.

β€’ Build and sustain relationships with law enforcement, government regulatory agencies, and insurance industry professionals, providing assistance when necessary or required.

β€’ Exceptional investigative skills are essential.

β€’ Must possess a keen attention to detail.

β€’ Ability to identify patterns of inconsistencies that may indicate fraudulent activity.

β€’ Must be capable of interacting effectively with clients, repair shops, appraisers, and employers.

β€’ Ability to work independently.

β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

β€’ Strong organizational and time management skills.

β€’ Demonstrated knowledge of the tools and techniques required for conducting insurance claims investigations.

β€’ Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
