This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
β’ Execute prompt investigations, including gathering recorded statements and conducting interviews with claimants, witnesses, and employers.
β’ Deliver timely status updates to the case manager and client.
β’ Ensure clear and timely documentation of claim files.
β’ Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
β’ Formulate an appropriate investigative action plan.
β’ Guarantee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of evidence collected during investigations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, legal codes, and governing agencies.
β’ Provide the Claim Adjuster with prompt investigation results and document investigative findings.
β’ Assess whether additional evidence is necessary, such as accident reports, accident scene reconstructions, witness statements, police reports, expert opinions, and more.
β’ Offer recommendations and decisions regarding investigative efforts.
β’ Conduct detailed database queries for SIU investigations, including the analysis and organization of critical data to support the assigned investigation.
β’ Evaluate State compliance referrals, as needed, when suspicious or questionable activities are detected.
β’ Maintain active membership in professional organizations that offer SIU support and resources.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with law enforcement, government regulatory agencies, and insurance industry professionals, providing assistance when necessary or required.
β’ Exceptional investigative skills are essential.
β’ Must possess a keen attention to detail.
β’ Ability to identify patterns of inconsistencies that may indicate fraudulent activity.
β’ Must be capable of interacting effectively with clients, repair shops, appraisers, and employers.
β’ Ability to work independently.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
β’ Strong organizational and time management skills.
β’ Demonstrated knowledge of the tools and techniques required for conducting insurance claims investigations.
β’ Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
