SIU Investigator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Execute prompt investigations, including gathering recorded statements and conducting interviews with claimants, witnesses, and employers.

• Deliver timely status updates to the case manager and client.

• Ensure clear and timely documentation of claim files.

• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

• Formulate an appropriate investigative action plan.

• Guarantee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of evidence collected during investigations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, legal codes, and governing agencies.

• Provide the Claim Adjuster with prompt investigation results and document investigative findings.

• Assess whether additional evidence is necessary, such as accident reports, accident scene reconstructions, witness statements, police reports, expert opinions, and more.

• Offer recommendations and decisions regarding investigative efforts.

• Conduct detailed database queries for SIU investigations, including the analysis and organization of critical data to support the assigned investigation.

• Evaluate State compliance referrals, as needed, when suspicious or questionable activities are detected.

• Maintain active membership in professional organizations that offer SIU support and resources.

• Build and sustain relationships with law enforcement, government regulatory agencies, and insurance industry professionals, providing assistance when necessary or required.

• Must be capable of interacting effectively with clients, repair shops, appraisers, and employers.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the tools and techniques required for conducting insurance claims investigations.

• Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
