This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with Site Works Commodity Managers on commercial proposals to ensure alignment with commodity strategy, guaranteeing contractor evaluation and selection is completed during the tender phase.
• Assist in the creation, review, and distribution of RFQ packages to contractors.
• Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of electrical and mechanical contractor proposal packages.
• Aid in scheduling project-specific weekly and monthly contractor status calls, and meticulously log detailed meeting minutes.
• Provide comprehensive project status updates to the Site Works Commodity Manager.
• Work with internal teams to accelerate the review and validation of RFIs and overall contractor packages.
• Partner with GE contract managers to review and enhance contractor terms and conditions.
• Assist in the negotiation of contractor proposal pricing, NDAs/MNDAs, master service agreements, and project-specific agreements for civil and electrical scopes of work.
• Drive key performance indicators: Deflation, DTP, Quality, Compliance, OTD.
• Support the sourcing and development of certified minority, veteran-owned, women-owned, and small business suppliers to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to GE sourcing policies and procedures.
• Travel occasionally for on-site contractor audits.
• Facilitate the contractor onboarding process.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a major construction project environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in pre-construction and/or construction estimating.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
• Must adhere to all relevant company travel and tax policies.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and Canada is mandatory.
