This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Set an example for safe, environmentally responsible, and healthy work practices in alignment with Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs, and initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to established safety regulations by all employees.
• Deliver exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for remote and field service needs, as well as work orders, to optimize the efficiency of remote field service operations.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by following up on repairs and collaborating with other departments to provide a high level of service.
• Train and mentor team members to meet and surpass customer and business expectations by conducting performance evaluations.
• Provide guidance on the financial aspects of work orders, including customer payments, warranties, claims, policies, and reworks.
• Generate quotes and review and prepare invoices for both internal and external clients.
• Oversee work-in-progress (WIP) and manage contamination control.
• Investigate and document accidents or near misses.
• Identify and address issues by initiating corrective actions.
• Promote continuous improvement in remote field operations through regularly scheduled meetings and relevant training.
• Assist the PSM in managing fixed assets and preparing for capital expenditures.
• Maintain the fleet of field service trucks.
• Supervise employees at the remote site location.
• Operate with a sense of urgency and encourage teamwork to foster growth.
• Post-secondary education or proven experience with Caterpillar parts and service.
• Strongly safety-oriented with a solid technical understanding of heavy equipment, including Caterpillar and competitive product lines, as well as current industry knowledge.
• Familiarity with CAT Corporate Web Navigation, DBS, SIS, or experience with Toromont operations is considered an asset.
• Valid Driver's License.
