Site Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Supervise the development of site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for designated projects

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and established standards

• Confirm that personal protective equipment aligns with relevant OSHA requirements and that employees are instructed in its proper usage

• Conduct safety inspections of assigned project locations to ensure tasks are carried out safely, safeguarding occupational health

• Ensure that incidents are documented, investigated, undergo thorough root-cause analysis, and that corrective measures are implemented to reduce the risk of recurrence

• Evaluate subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings as necessary

• Collaborate with project supervision and management to devise safety solutions for identified safety issues

• Promote and sustain a positive safety culture among project personnel

• Maintain all safety certifications as mandated by contracts

• Lead monthly safety meetings for project personnel

• Availability to travel as required to support construction safety operations

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline; or a comparable combination of education and experience

• At least five (5) years of experience in construction safety

• Must be organized, proactive, and possess demonstrated experience in OSHA Compliance

• CHST or CSP certifications are preferred

• Current OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Safety Certification required

• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and other essential computer skills

• Effective communicator in both verbal and written forms

• Excellent listener who can engage professionally and maintain a positive and open communication style.
