Site Reliability Engineer – DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Prioritize the availability, security, scalability, and operational readiness of cloud-based solutions.

• Implement and continually enhance development and delivery methodologies for our tools, platform, and patterns.

• Collaboratively execute technical initiatives and automation while influencing discussions with stakeholders.

• Promote and deepen the DevOps/SRE culture within our team and across broader delivery teams.

• Improve existing observability patterns by creating and enhancing dashboards, toolsets, and more.

• Provide delivery teams with innovative solutions that will delight our customers.

• Ensure online applications are available, scalable, resilient, and perform at a high level.

• Maintain the security and compliance of the production environment in accordance with PCI-DSS and ISM standards.

• Develop and enhance monitoring practices to boost observability within the technical environment.

• Create and improve dashboards to facilitate better observability for delivery teams.

• Manage components such as Load Balancers, Proxies, DNS, API Gateways, etc., and automate provisioning and deployments.

• Support delivery teams by ensuring application deployments align with operational practices.

• Offer guidance on application architecture, security, scalability, and operational readiness.

• Contribute to the architectural designs and patterns for applications and infrastructure.

• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of SRE team processes and practices.

• Aid delivery teams in understanding, managing, and optimizing costs of cloud-based applications using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Assist in the optimization of cloud-related costs.

• Engage with internal stakeholders to align with their expectations.

• Support colleagues in developing innovative software and solutions for customers.

• Evaluate and develop new capabilities to enable effective solutions.

• Contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, collaborative, and positive work environment.

• Serve as a role model for company culture and working methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a robust understanding of SRE and application support practices.

• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, Datadog, Sumologic, Splunk, etc.

• Proficient in dashboarding using various tools like Grafana, Geckoboard, etc.

• Significant experience with AWS Cloud, managing infrastructure components like Load Balancers, Proxies, DNS, API Gateways, etc., and automating provisioning and deployments.

• Strong grasp of SRE, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code, and contemporary practices and concepts.

• Familiarity with various CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Bamboo, etc.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and ITIL principles.
