This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Developing our infrastructure platform by creating self-service components that will be utilized by the engineering team and millions of users globally.
• Collaborating closely with our Product and Infrastructure teams to design and build top-tier infrastructure components.
• Crafting and implementing tools that enhance the availability, scalability, observability, and latency of our services, which are utilized by internal stakeholders to deploy and manage their services.
• Promoting reliability awareness across teams, assisting in the adoption of reliability principles, and evaluating observability implementations or software architectures.
• Establishing SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs as integral parts of the services' lifecycle.
• Sharing an on-call rotation for the platform services you manage.
• Collaborating with other teams to address issues in our highly available platform, while developing automations to prevent future incidents.
• Engaging in our recruitment efforts to help expand our engineering team.
• Possess a Unix mindset, with knowledge of the networking stack, the OSI model, containers (and schedulers), as well as familiarity with monitoring, logging, and the CAP theorem (bonus!).
• Strong programming capabilities in at least one language, with familiarity in additional languages or the ability to learn new ones as opportunities arise.
• Naturally inclined to automate tasks, allowing machines to handle repetitive work.
• Communicate effectively and asynchronously.
• Show concern for elements that impact the company, your team, and yourself.
• Embrace diversity, humility, and a touch of humor.
• Prefer taking iterative steps rather than waiting for situations to unfold or seeking perfection.
• Strongly prioritize simplicity over complexity, adhering to the KISS principle.
