This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical and project management assistance for TSA Security Equipment Deployment Services (SEDS) at federalized airports.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle as the site lead/project manager.
• Perform site surveys and validations, identify and mitigate risks, coordinate with stakeholders, communicate status updates, create reports, and review/comment on drawings.
• Supervise construction activities, subcontractors, installations, equipment delivery, rigging, placement, integration, testing, removals, and project closeout.
• Create and monitor schedules, permits, deployment plans, and detailed onsite work schedules.
• Serve as the technical liaison for TSA Deployment and Sustainment Division Checkpoint Deployment Coordinators.
• Plan and coordinate the installation, removal, and relocation of checkpoint security screening equipment.
• Track project progress, variances, critical path risks, costs, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate shipments, FF&E accounting, equipment requests, DD-1149 forms, test readiness notifications, badging, permitting, storage, and equipment handling.
• Provide onsite support for delivery/removal and document before-and-after deployment conditions.
• Assist with ORT, SAT, and ISAT scheduling and testing; observe testing procedures and escalate unresolved issues.
• Manage de-installation processes, decommissioning checklists, cleaning, packaging, dunnage removal, and site restoration.
• Lead ad hoc, weekly, IPT, and installation-readiness meetings; prepare agendas, record minutes, and share updates.
• Address requests for information, schedule updates, status reports, and future planning from Leidos, TSA, and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience.
• Eight years of additional related experience can substitute for a BA/BS degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Project Management experience, with at least two (2) years in an airport setting.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in construction management, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders on a single project.
• Background in planning and developing design alternatives and solutions for construction projects.
• Management experience overseeing field staff and subcontractors.
• Experience in resolving compliance matters with federal, state, and local authorities regarding design specifications.
• In-depth understanding of airport construction practices, processes, standards, floor loading, electrical infrastructure, seismic requirements, and rigging complexities.
• Familiarity with the Checkpoint Requirements and Planning Guide (CRPG) for checkpoint operations.
• Ability to work autonomously as part of a cross-functional team.
• TSA vetted, currently or previously.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to assigned airport locations.
• Availability to work non-standard shifts, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
• Professional certifications such as Licensed PE, PMI® PMP, or General Contractor License are advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
• Capable of coordinating and managing multi-disciplined technical and project management teams while liaising with customers and stakeholders.
