Site Installation Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the FAA BNATCS contract and E-IDS modernization initiative at Peraton.

• Act as a quality representative on-site at FAA facilities throughout the National Airspace System.

• Ensure that equipment, cabling, power, grounding, installations, and system interfaces adhere to approved designs and quality standards.

• Confirm that installation processes do not disrupt facility operations.

• Coordinate timelines with on-site personnel and government leads.

• Relay technical issues to engineering and management audiences effectively.

• Verify that delivered equipment and materials comply with approved site surveys.

• Identify discrepancies prior to installation and facilitate corrective actions.

• Ensure installations align with approved drawings and that as-built conditions are accurately reflected in redlined documentation.

• Document deficiencies, monitor corrective actions, and communicate quality issues to installation teams and program leadership.

• Validate that installation teams adhere to required quality-control processes.

• Conduct final installation inspections and confirm that completed work corresponds with approved designs and redlined/as-built drawings.

• Record inspection outcomes and assist in resolving deficiencies before site acceptance.

• Travel 50–90% of the time to support site preparation, installation, activation, and acceptance activities.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 14 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 16 years of experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in construction, installation, field inspection, quality assurance, or related technical fields.

• Experience in inspecting electrical, telecommunications, network, low-voltage, equipment installations, cabling, and/or construction activities.

• Proven experience in verifying installation quality against engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, site plans, and installation requirements.

• Familiarity with cable routing, labeling, termination, testing, connectors, power, and grounding.

• Capability to identify installation deficiencies and accurately document inspection findings and corrective measures.

• Knowledge of relevant construction, safety, quality, and workmanship standards.

• Willingness to travel to FAA sites 50–90% as necessary.

• Preferred: Experience with FAA programs, NAS systems, aviation facilities, or mission-critical government settings.

• Preferred: Background in site quality inspections, construction surveillance, installation verification, or acceptance inspections.

• Preferred: Experience in telecommunications, network infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optics, electrical systems, equipment racks, or control-room environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with E-IDS, information display systems, air traffic control facilities, or similar operational technology environments.

• Preferred: Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA, or other relevant construction and electrical standards.

• Preferred: Experience in documenting quality inspection records, deficiency reports, test results, and as-built/redline documentation.

• Preferred: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with installers, engineers, subcontractors, quality teams, program leadership, and government clients.
