
Site Inspector Lead – Data Center Manufacturing Quality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform quality inspections at facilities throughout North America.
• Ensure critical data center equipment is produced in alignment with approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Assess electrical, mechanical, HVAC, modular, and prefabricated infrastructure components during the entire manufacturing lifecycle.
• Detect manufacturing defects, quality risks, scheduling issues, and non-conformities prior to equipment shipment to project locations.
• Confirm supplier readiness, monitor production progress, testing activities, and the completeness of documentation.
• Create, enhance, and implement inspection checklists, quality evaluations, and field reporting procedures.
• Record inspection outcomes with comprehensive reports, photographs, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Monitor and manage quality issues until resolution and closure.
• Provide clear communications and status updates to client stakeholders, suppliers, and project leadership.
• Maintain thorough inspection records and documentation for equipment traceability.
• Coordinate inspection timelines with suppliers, manufacturers, and client teams.
• Assist in schedule discussions and negotiate inspection timings to align with project delivery milestones.
• Proactively escalate quality, production, and delivery risks to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure successful equipment delivery.
• Suggest enhancements to supplier quality processes, inspection methods, and reporting standards.
• Recognize recurring quality trends and support initiatives for corrective and preventive action.
• Aid in the establishment of scalable quality assurance processes across various supplier locations.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Inspection, Supplier Quality, or Industrial Equipment Inspection.
• Proven experience conducting inspections in manufacturing or industrial production settings.
• Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and inspection methodologies.
• Proficient in creating, refining, and executing inspection checklists and quality documentation.
• Ability to identify defects, quality issues, and manufacturing risks.
• Excellent written communication and reporting capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% across North America.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Background in inspecting electrical equipment, switchgear, generators, transformers, cooling systems, HVAC equipment, modular infrastructure, or mission-critical systems.
• Experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Quality professional, or QA/QC expert.
• Familiarity with supporting semiconductor, automotive, industrial manufacturing, data center, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of factory acceptance testing (FAT), production inspections, and supplier audits.
• Understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or hyperscale data center programs.
