Site Civil Manager – Fluent German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead the civil site team, which consists of a small group of 4–5 individuals, including subcontractors and GE personnel.

• Collaborate on planning and prepare for the various phases of construction in conjunction with the engineering and project teams.

• Oversee and coordinate the execution of construction on-site to ensure adherence to public regulations and the design intent set by the design author.

• Guarantee compliance with health and safety standards, timelines, and budget constraints.

• Conduct quality control to ensure alignment between execution and planning, along with proper documentation.

• Manage defect notifications effectively.

• Recognize and report deviations and potential claims for supplementary work.

• Participate in site meetings and acceptance inspections, taking comprehensive minutes.

• Keep a detailed site diary documenting all construction activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.

• Several years of professional experience in construction and project management, ideally in civil or infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience in providing technical leadership to a site team.

• Experience with substations is advantageous.

• Strong assertiveness and resilience within the context of complex infrastructure projects.

• Background in electrical engineering is a plus.

• Proficiency in both German and English.
