This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Conduct investigations, evaluations, and adjustments of California Workers' Compensation claims from the point of assignment to resolution.
β’ Oversee indemnity and medical liabilities while devising effective claim strategies.
β’ Manage litigated claims and work in tandem with defense counsel throughout the litigation process.
β’ Assess compensability and set appropriate reserves.
β’ Coordinate medical treatment, return-to-work initiatives, and vocational aspects when necessary.
β’ Track claim activities to ensure prompt file movement and diary management.
β’ Analyze settlement options and negotiate claim resolutions within set authority limits.
β’ Maintain regular communication with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and clients.
β’ Ensure precise file documentation and reporting of claims.
β’ Take part in claim reviews and client meetings as required.
β’ Adhere to California Workers' Compensation regulations and client handling protocols.
β’ Proven experience in handling California Workers' Compensation claims.
β’ A valid Self-Insured Administrator Certificate (SIP) is mandatory.
β’ Strong comprehension of California Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
β’ Experience with litigated Workers' Compensation claims management.
β’ Proficient in managing claims from investigation to resolution.
β’ Capability to independently handle a full caseload.
β’ Strong skills in reserve management and developing claim strategies.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication proficiency.
β’ Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
