SIP-Certified Workers' Compensation Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations, evaluations, and adjustments of California Workers' Compensation claims from the point of assignment to resolution.

• Oversee indemnity and medical liabilities while devising effective claim strategies.

• Manage litigated claims and work in tandem with defense counsel throughout the litigation process.

• Assess compensability and set appropriate reserves.

• Coordinate medical treatment, return-to-work initiatives, and vocational aspects when necessary.

• Track claim activities to ensure prompt file movement and diary management.

• Analyze settlement options and negotiate claim resolutions within set authority limits.

• Maintain regular communication with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and clients.

• Ensure precise file documentation and reporting of claims.

• Take part in claim reviews and client meetings as required.

• Adhere to California Workers' Compensation regulations and client handling protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in handling California Workers' Compensation claims.

• A valid Self-Insured Administrator Certificate (SIP) is mandatory.

• Strong comprehension of California Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.

• Experience with litigated Workers' Compensation claims management.

• Proficient in managing claims from investigation to resolution.

• Capability to independently handle a full caseload.

• Strong skills in reserve management and developing claim strategies.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication proficiency.

• Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
