Sign Language Interpreter – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Interpreting or transliterating all academic materials for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH)

• Collaborating with fellow members of the school community

• Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings

• Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with students and their caregivers

• Operating from a professional home office

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience interpreting in an educational setting

• A minimum of 1 year of experience delivering interpreting services in a virtual format

• EIPA scores

• National Interpreter Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and/or state-specific educational interpreter licensure

• Capability to work independently, with a commitment of at least 20 hours per week during standard school hours

• Strong knowledge of content and subject matter

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to pass the required background check
