SI Leader/Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate numerous online Supplemental Instruction sessions weekly.

• Design engaging and interactive activities for online sessions to connect students with course materials.

• Incorporate course-specific study techniques and learning strategies to enhance students’ academic development.

• Attend mandatory SI Leader Orientation, training sessions, and scheduled meetings.

• Fulfill SI-related administrative responsibilities assigned by the Director of Online Tutoring Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a current Residential undergraduate or graduate student.

• Achieved an “A” or “B” in the course intended for tutoring.

• Maintain a cumulative LU GPA of no less than 3.0.

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.

• Demonstrate a passion for supporting students in enhancing their understanding of course content and effective study techniques.

• Exhibit a high level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality, and organizational skills.

• Display appropriate and professional conduct.

• Capable of effectively communicating both verbally and in written form.

• Proficient in understanding, speaking, and writing in English.

• Possess public communication skills that facilitate professional representation of Liberty University.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Excellent computer proficiency.

• Ability to reason, analyze information and situations, and exercise judgment to tackle both routine and complex challenges.
