Shopify Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and launch new landing pages and website versions on Shopify according to the design direction provided by the team.

• Establish and oversee A/B tests to consistently enhance page performance and conversion rates.

• Improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and checkout processes to minimize drop-off rates.

• Implement and manage Shopify applications/integrations that are essential for e-commerce growth (such as upsells, reviews, email capture, etc.).

• Identify and resolve bugs or design inconsistencies present throughout the website.

• Work closely with the creative team to ensure the design intent is accurately reflected in the functioning pages.

• Suggest structural or technical modifications that could enhance conversion rates, utilizing best practices and data analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in building and customizing Shopify stores (including theme customization, Liquid, and basic HTML/CSS/JS).

• A keen eye for conversion — you grasp what elements contribute to a landing page's success in converting visitors, beyond just aesthetics.

• Background in conducting or assisting with A/B tests on an active e-commerce site.

• Ability to work independently once provided with design direction, without the need for exhaustive details.

• A portfolio showcasing previous Shopify builds or landing pages for review.

• Strong communication skills and reliable turnaround times — this is a contract position where dependability is crucial.
