Sessional Instructional Assistant – American Sign Language 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assessment of assignments, tests, and examinations

• Supervision during tests and exams

• Conducting tutorials, if relevant

• Supporting instructors in the design and execution of assignments, tests, and examinations

• Prompt email communication with the instructor

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and English

• Proof of native or near-native proficiency in ASL is mandatory

• Understanding of Deaf culture and/or personal experience within a Deaf community

• Minimum Level 5 proficiency on the ASLPI

• Knowledge of ASL curricula such as Signing Naturally and TRUE+WAY ASL (TWA)
