This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on all Material Handling Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors according to site standards.
• Oversee the scheduling of Planned Maintenance (PM) for all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, while maintaining updated records of completed PM tasks.
• Inspect forklifts, automated systems, conveyors, and other operational equipment to ensure adherence to OSHA and operational standards.
• Utilize manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, and parts diagrams to diagnose issues with engines, fuel systems, transmissions, automated systems, and conveyors, or other components of material handling equipment.
• Report any damage or abuse to onsite personnel with a comprehensive description of the issue.
• Collaborate with the KFS Parts Manager regarding the parts and supplies required for equipment maintenance.
• Keep accurate parts inventory and repair records for all equipment by completing precise documentation.
• Conduct tests on safety equipment to confirm compliance with OSHA and operational standards.
• Maintain thorough preventive maintenance records.
• Interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
• Ensure the service area is kept clean at all times.
• A high school diploma, G.E.D., or graduation from a technical school is mandatory.
• 2-4 years of mechanical experience is required; experience in the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, or similar equipment is preferred.
• ASE Certification is preferred.
• Silver and/or Gold Certification is preferred.
• Electrical journeyman certification is preferred.
• Experience with electrical and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Capability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across various types of equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed, highly responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Must be capable of frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Must provide personal mechanic technician hand tools.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.
