Service Technician – High- and Medium-Voltage Switchgear, Field Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Carry out service tasks independently on transformers and/or AIS & GIS switchgear.

• Conduct assembly, commissioning, inspections, maintenance work, and troubleshooting.

• Repair and manufacture spare parts at customer locations and/or in the service workshop.

• Dismantle and assemble components and assemblies.

• Execute rework and modifications as required.

• Handle tools, measuring instruments, and fixtures in a professional and proper manner.

• Prepare site documentation and test reports following the established template.

• Ensure consistent adherence to accident prevention (UVV) and EHS guidelines, as well as production and work instructions, along with quality regulations.

• Uphold the GE Vernova Code of Ethics without fail.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training in the electrical field according to DIN VDE 0105, such as an electrician, electronics technician, or industrial mechatronics technician, or a qualification as a master craftsman or technician, or an equivalent qualification obtained through professional experience.

• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, with a primary focus on Germany.

• Experience in customer service is desirable.

• A keen interest in personal and professional growth.

• Strong awareness of safety, quality, and responsibility.

• Display initiative, determination, and flexibility.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).

• Possess a Class B driving license.

• Good proficiency in the German language, both spoken and written.
