This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel equipment.
• Assess vehicle condition through inspections and diagnostic evaluations.
• Address vehicle issues by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, and replacing parts.
• Deliver technical services for vehicles and equipment.
• This includes troubleshooting, as well as electrical and diagnostic services.
• Review Repair Orders and observe the vehicle while in operation.
• Carry out general and detailed repairs on all trucks, engines, and components.
• Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and designated safety devices.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive the repaired vehicle to ensure it meets specifications.
• Keep a tidy and organized work area, and properly manage company tools.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
• Preferred candidates will have related technical school training.
• Three to five years of experience in commercial truck technical service is required.
• Experience with PACCAR, International, Cummins, Eaton, and Allison is desirable.
• Engine certifications in brands such as Cummins, Detroit, or International are preferred.
• Must possess the necessary tools to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Capability to work and learn independently is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in using various Windows-based computer software is necessary.
• Experience with engine software is an advantage.
• A valid commercial driver's license is preferred.
• Take advantage of training opportunities to maintain certification in OEM products.
• Participate in training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
