This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Display a positive, cheerful, and supportive demeanor towards customers and partners, being attentive to their needs.
• Build and sustain customer relationships by understanding and assessing their operations to identify goals, requirements, and preferences.
• Provide support to outside sales staff with quotes, order processing and management, customer interactions, and internal communication with ABB factories and Aftermarket teams.
• Collaborate with Commercial Proposal Managers, Application Engineers, and Customers as necessary.
• Identify new sales opportunities through following up on inbound leads and making outbound cold calls and emails.
• Address service requests generated through the website.
• Direct qualified opportunities to the respective sales managers for further nurturing and closure.
• Work together with Sales Directors to enhance relationships with ABB partner organizations (IBC, Critical Power, Utility, etc.).
• Aid in closing orders and meeting quarterly and annual sales objectives.
• Create Standard and Configured to Order proposals.
• Prepare product and service quotations and ensure ongoing follow-up throughout the customer's purchasing journey.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college coupled with 2 years of sales or marketing experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of sales or marketing experience.
• Strong preference for experience in proposal or quote development, sales support, or order administration.
• General familiarity with power transmission and distribution products/systems is preferred.
• Previous experience in business-to-business customer support is preferred.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Familiarity with Empower and SAP tools is preferred.
• Candidates must possess valid work authorization allowing them to work for ABB in the US.
