Service Representative – Property & Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Acquire a deep understanding of Horace Mann Property and Casualty insurance offerings, services, and policies.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries through phone, email, and chat communications.

• Ensure an exceptional customer experience through both verbal and written interactions.

• Uphold quality and compliance in every engagement by following all relevant company and state regulations.

• Take responsibility for proactively up-selling and cross-selling insurance solutions to the existing customer base.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required (Bachelor’s degree is preferred).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, business, or sales is preferred.

• Experience in the Insurance or Finance sectors is advantageous.

• Must successfully complete the Service Representative Trainee Program.

• Required to obtain and maintain an Insurance Producers License and Non-Residence License within 12 months of hire, and continue to maintain these licenses thereafter.

• Basic math abilities and skills in billing interpretation are necessary.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to identify and address unmet customer needs effectively.

• Ability to demonstrate active listening, navigate systems, conduct research, solve problems, think critically, and manage time and organization effectively.

• Internet connection must meet a minimum speed of 10 mb/s download and 1 mb/s upload – verification will be required.

• The employee must have a private and organized workspace, free from everyday household distractions.
