Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of all chemical inventory on site, including cooling and boiler wastewater systems.

• Procure chemical supplies as needed.

• Manage the removal of empty drums.

• Conduct sampling and/or testing of cooling and boiler waters as necessary.

• Identify and rectify any faults.

• Document all testing and monitoring outcomes and input them into our record-keeping system.

• Inspect all chemical dosing and monitoring equipment on a weekly basis.

• Report or resolve any identified issues.

• Perform cleaning tasks as required.

• Make weekly visits to each maintenance manager (or colleague).

• Handle the collection and dispatch of biological samples.

• Undertake cooling tower cleaning or supervise cleaning activities as necessary.

• Manage the collection and installation of corrosion coupons.

• Report any water and/or chemical leaks and other unusual occurrences.

• Execute any necessary equipment reprogramming and/or recalibrations.

• Perform manual dosing as required.

• Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained.

• Exhibits safe work practices and can recognize hazards.

• Experience with boilers, cooling towers, or both.

• Possesses mechanical aptitude.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize personal workload.

• Proven capability to perform repetitive tasks effectively.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with customers.

• Potential to evolve into an account manager role.

• Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.

• A trade certificate or degree in Chemistry/Science is highly valued.
