Service Desk Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the initial point of contact for customers requiring technical support through phone, chat, or self-service options.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, account access, and applications.

• Provide outstanding customer service by communicating clearly, professionally, and with empathy.

• Work in collaboration with IS teams to pinpoint recurring issues and aid in ongoing service enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is required.

• A combination of two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be accepted in place of the degree.

• Proven success in supporting MS Office applications within a corporate setting.

• Proven track record of utilizing a ticketing system for technical management support.

• Proven success in troubleshooting common IT challenges related to personal computers, mobile devices, printers, phones, and online messaging platforms.

• Proven success in leveraging resources to resolve IT issues effectively.

• Proven success in mentoring colleagues.

• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

• A Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.

• HDI Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Boot Camp or ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.

• Must live in an approved remote work state for UW Health.
