This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive GEO/SEO content strategy across the enterprise.
• Identify and capitalize on significant opportunities for content creation and updates that align with Cisco’s business goals.
• Produce high-quality content and oversee a team of writers.
• Offer training and support to writers to effectively influence stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Utilize keyword research, audience insights, and competitive analysis to craft search-optimized content plans tailored to buyer journeys.
• Create and oversee an AI-enhanced content optimization process in collaboration with the Operations & Intelligence team.
• Establish workflows that incorporate human oversight to ensure accuracy, tone, and adherence to E-E-A-T standards.
• Contribute to the development of dashboards that monitor rankings, impressions, AI citations, traffic, and conversion metrics.
• Convert insights from organic search into practical recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Evaluate the competitive landscape to identify deficiencies in topical authority.
• Suggest strategic pivots in content to uphold Cisco’s leadership in vital technology sectors.
• Review page-level components such as Meta Robots, Canonical tags, and Schema Markup.
• Collaborate with branding, integrated marketing, web marketing, and product marketing teams.
• Serve as Cisco’s internal authority on how large language models (LLMs) process and prioritize enterprise information.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in creating GEO/AEO content.
• At least 8 years' experience in content strategy, SEO, or driving organic growth.
• Experience preferred in a complex B2B or technology environment.
• In-depth understanding of E-E-A-T principles and their application in technology content.
• Proficient with enterprise SEO tools such as BrightEdge and Screaming Frog.
• Experience with GEO/AEO platforms including Profound, AthenaHQ, or Scrunch AI.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Capability to convey intricate search trends to executive stakeholders.
• A passion for artificial intelligence.
• Familiarity with LLM-based content production workflows.
• Knowledge of how bots crawl and retrieve content.
• Understanding of Meta Robots, Canonical tags, and Schema Markup.
