This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and establish the content strategy for one or more segments of College Board’s digital assessment platform.

• Determine content approaches, set quality benchmarks, prioritize tasks, and be accountable for results within assigned domains.

• Develop user-centered product content, which includes UI text, instructions, onboarding processes, and contextual assistance.

• Create unified content standards that encompass voice, tone, terminology, and accessibility considerations.

• Convert user research, analytics, and feedback into content hypotheses and iterative enhancements.

• Independently manage content workflows in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.

• Oversee and refine information architecture, navigation models, taxonomies, labeling systems, and content frameworks.

• Collaborate with UX designers and content engineers.

• Facilitate discovery sessions, design critiques, and cross-functional workshops.

• Design and enhance editorial workflows, content operations, and governance processes.

• Conduct hands-on content entry, structuring, and lifecycle management within a CMS.

• Assess and influence AI tools for content discovery, drafting, and workflow efficiency.

• Provide data-driven recommendations to the Senior Director regarding strategy and priorities.

• Develop shared strategies, templates, and best practices for the content strategy practice.

• Lead updates to content messaging during test administration periods for widespread user concerns.

• Assist with onboarding and teamwork as the group expands.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in content strategy, UX writing, or product content design.

• Ideally experienced in intricate digital product or platform settings.

• Outstanding writing and editing capabilities.

• Portfolio showcasing clarity, discernment, and versatility across digital product contexts.

• Experience collaborating closely with UX designers on information architecture and content organization.

• Ability to independently manage and propel content initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

• Familiarity with editorial processes and content operations.

• Practical experience with CMS platforms and content management workflows.

• Strong collaborative and communicative abilities.

• Comfortable working in iterative, evolving environments.

• Willingness to travel 3–5 times a year to College Board offices or for College Board-related business.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• A passion for broadening educational and career opportunities through mission-driven work.

• A curious and enthusiastic approach to emerging technologies and a willingness to explore AI-driven solutions.

• Ability to independently and proactively learn and apply new digital tools.

• Clear and succinct written and verbal communication skills.

• A collaborative and empathetic demeanor.

• Preferred: experience with large-scale or platform-focused digital products.

• Preferred: familiarity with structured content, taxonomy, or content modeling.

• Preferred: experience with or interest in AI tools in content workflows.

• Preferred: background in content governance or lifecycle management.
