Senior/Staff Software Engineer – Backend-focused

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, high-performance software systems.

• Write, test, and maintain code of the highest quality.

• Contribute to architectural decisions that enhance scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Maintain coding standards and conduct thorough code reviews.

• Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical challenges.

• Optimize code to enhance system performance.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Drive enhancements in code quality, development practices, and overall team efficiency.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API specifications.

• Communicate technical decisions and strategies effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Remain updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Mentor junior engineers to foster their growth.

• Deliver backend services and APIs in a timely manner.

• Support continuous delivery, monitoring, and trunk-based development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in software design and architecture.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and SQL.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor.

• Knowledge of software architecture patterns, including microservices, distributed systems, hexagonal architecture, and domain-driven design.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Ability to work an 8 to 5 EST schedule.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States upon hiring.

• Must be available during scheduled working hours.

• Must possess a quiet, professional, and distraction-free workspace.
