Senior/Staff Software Engineer – AI-Native CAD Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance integrations with the file formats and scripting systems of CAD vendors.

• Spearhead the reverse engineering of proprietary binary and text-based formats.

• Propel the advancement of Quilter's internal PCB representation.

• Develop robust and thoroughly tested code.

• Utilize—and contribute to the creation of—the next generation of agent-driven workflows for CAD reverse engineering.

• Take ownership of features throughout their lifecycle: from design and implementation to testing and deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, with significant backend or systems work and a proven history of managing complex projects from start to finish.

• Mastery of Python programming.

• Some hands-on experience with at least one ECAD tool (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).

• A genuine passion for coding agents.

• Ability to lead and tackle ambiguous challenges related to reverse engineering.

• Basic understanding of binary formats.

• Excellent communication skills, technical leadership, and a strong sense of ownership in a dynamic startup atmosphere.
