This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.
• Take charge of the architecture and advancement of P2P.org's internal developer platform, which encompasses Kubernetes, monitoring, secrets management, and delivery infrastructure. You will be accountable for the scalability, interconnectivity, and progression of these systems across over 60 blockchain networks.
• Design and create scalable, fault-tolerant platform components, which include capacity planning, multi-tenancy, networking topology, and storage architecture. Clearly document and communicate architectural trade-offs.
• Develop production-level code in Go and/or Python for platform tooling, services, operators, and APIs. This is a hands-on engineering position, not limited to configuration tasks.
• Establish self-service infrastructure that teams can utilize with minimal friction, including Terraform modules, Helm charts, reusable pipeline templates, and platform APIs. Advocate for our versioned module library and automated security updates through Renovate.
• Scale our Kubernetes platform across both bare-metal and cloud environments, and enhance the observability stack (Victoria Metrics, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and delivery platform (ArgoCD, CI/CD pipelines).
• Manage the platform's security posture, covering secrets management, access controls, identity federation, network policies, and encryption both at rest and in transit.
• Ensure SOC 2 Type II compliance across platform infrastructure by implementing controls as code, maintaining audit readiness, and proactively collaborating with compliance teams to address gaps.
• Enforce container and supply chain security measures, including image scanning, signed artifacts, base image management, and vulnerability remediation. Apply zero-trust principles such as least-privilege roles, short-lived credentials, and auditable access. Strengthen Kubernetes workloads using pod security standards, network policies, RBAC, and runtime monitoring.
• Leverage AI tools as an integral part of your work and advocate for their adoption within the infrastructure team and the broader engineering organization, including applications in code generation, code review, incident response, documentation, and operational automation.
• Develop or integrate AI-assisted tools into platform workflows where they provide significant enhancements. Help establish metrics to gauge the impact of AI implementation across engineering.
• Guide the technical direction for the infrastructure team by establishing architectural standards, promoting best practices, and minimizing technical debt.
• Collaborate with SRE, blockchain, engineering, data, and security teams to translate their requirements into platform functionalities.
• Mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident evaluations, driving improvements in platform reliability.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering, including at least 3 years in a senior or staff-level position with responsibility for system architecture and technical direction.
• Strong software engineering capabilities in Go and/or Python — you produce production-quality code rather than just scripts. You design, build, test, and deploy platform services and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to architect large-scale distributed systems, including capacity planning, fault-tolerance strategies, system decomposition, and the capacity to articulate trade-offs effectively.
• Extensive Kubernetes knowledge—covering managed (GKE, EKS) and bare-metal/hybrid clusters, including networking, storage, multi-tenancy, and cluster lifecycle management.
• Proficient with Terraform, including the creation of reusable module libraries, state management at scale, and automation of the infrastructure lifecycle.
• Experience with at least one significant cloud service provider (GCP, OCI, AWS, or Azure) along with bare-metal infrastructure.
• Practical experience with observability tools (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar) and delivery tools (ArgoCD, Helm, CI/CD pipelines).
• Strong foundation in Linux systems and networking principles (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, BGP).
• Experience in infrastructure security, including container security, supply chain security, network policies, zero-trust access patterns, and compliance (SOC 2 Type II or equivalent).
• Active integration of AI tools in your engineering workflow, with experience promoting their adoption across a team.
• Proven success in building self-service platform features that other teams actively use.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills—capable of conveying technical proposals, architectural decisions, and collaborating across distributed teams. Minimum English proficiency of B2.
• Paid vacation and sick leave
• Well-being program
• Mental Health care program
• Compensation for education, including foreign language and professional development courses
• Equipment and co-working reimbursement program
• Opportunities to attend overseas conferences and participate in community immersion
