Senior/Staff Java FullStack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Engage in all aspects of the delivery process.

• Guide and motivate the development team by imparting knowledge, experience, and insights.

• Take ownership of code from the development stage through deployment and maintenance.

• Troubleshoot production issues and propose effective solutions.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions.

• Question business requirements to ensure optimal results are achieved.

• Promote the adoption of new technologies that enhance business value.

• Assist in shaping the online technology roadmap and future technical direction.

• Conduct technical interviews within your area of expertise.

• Travel nationally and internationally as required by projects, clients, and organizational needs, estimated at 0%-15%.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience with the Java/Kotlin programming languages, including their latest versions.

• Proficiency in Typescript.

• Experience with React and Next.js.

• Familiarity with Spring or Micronaut frameworks.

• Understanding of Microservices, Web services, SOA, GraphQL Federation, and REST APIs.

• Experience in API management using Apigee.

• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or similar observability tools.

• Competence in unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development.

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL databases.

• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, NexusPro, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of Scrum/Kanban methodologies, user stories, BDD/TDD, DevOps principles, Continuous Integration & Delivery, and Pair Programming.

• Ability to apply design patterns effectively.

• Proficiency in English.

• Must be based in Portugal.

• A background in e-commerce or retail is a plus.
