This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Stay updated with FDA, EU, and other pertinent guidelines and industry standards.
β’ Act as the representative of the editorial group in medical writing, study teams, and cross-departmental project collaborations.
β’ Oversee timelines and budgets for assigned projects, escalating any risks associated with deliverables.
β’ Offer technical support and specialized knowledge.
β’ Conduct training sessions and mentor medical editing personnel.
β’ Provide guidance to medical writers, editors, and study teams regarding quality review, compilation, and editorial standards.
β’ Take on the role of project lead for complex or large-scale medical writing deliverables.
β’ Organize and lead internal meetings focused on specific project tasks.
β’ Arrange project-specific requirements and ensure information is effectively communicated and applied in deliverables.
β’ Participate as a member of the medical writing team for projects that require medical writing outputs.
β’ Offer feedback to the lead medical writer concerning the progress of the editorial process.
β’ Edit assigned documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, adherence to the AMA Manual of Style, custom style guidelines, checklists, and best practices.
β’ Conduct quality reviews of assigned documents to ensure accuracy.
β’ Contribute to the development of process improvement tools as well as internal editorial policies and procedures.
β’ Manage assigned projects in accordance with medical writing SOPs and client standards, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
β’ Compile medical writing deliverables as necessary.
β’ Strong understanding of FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines and industry standards.
β’ Familiarity with the AMA Manual of Style.
β’ Knowledge of internal checklists and best practices for medical writing.
β’ Proficiency in copyediting and quality reviewing medical writing documents.
β’ Ability to provide technical support and editorial guidance.
β’ Capability to train and mentor medical editing personnel.
β’ Skill in leading complex or large medical writing projects.
β’ Competence in managing timelines, budgets, SOPs, and client standards.
