This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Develop a scalable WordPress website from scratch utilizing clean and maintainable front-end and back-end development methodologies.
• Transform custom Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress pages for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Create reusable blocks, components, sections, templates, and backend content structures to enable the team to launch pages efficiently.
• Design custom post types, taxonomies, Advanced Custom Fields, and dynamic templates for effective content management.
• Construct programmatic and templated page systems capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of landing pages in the future.
• Maintain strong technical SEO principles, including URL structures, slugs, redirects, sitemap logic, and internal linking frameworks.
• Enhance website speed, optimize database queries, caching, media handling, plugin utilization, and template performance.
• Oversee daily website health monitoring, first-line troubleshooting, uptime alerts, performance regressions, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Set up and manage Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, SSL, caching, firewall rules, security basics, and performance enhancements.
• Administer Git-based version control, staging environments, code reviews, testing, and controlled production deployments.
• Over 5 years of experience in WordPress development.
• Extensive experience in building custom WordPress themes or heavily customized WordPress websites.
• Demonstrated experience with high-page-count, content-rich, SEO-focused, high-traffic, or programmatic SEO websites.
• Proficient knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive development techniques.
• Experience in converting Figma or custom designs into production-ready WordPress pages.
• Familiarity with custom post types, taxonomies, Advanced Custom Fields, reusable templates, and scalable content structures.
• Proficient in utilizing Git, staging environments, and disciplined staging-to-production deployment workflows.
• Experience with Gutenberg blocks, custom blocks, or structured page builder workflows (Nice-to-Have).
• Proficient in configuring Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, SSL, caching, firewall rules, and fundamental security (Nice-to-Have).
• Experience troubleshooting WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, performance problems, hosting issues, and integration failures (Nice-to-Have).
• Experience supporting form submissions, analytics tracking, technical SEO implementation, and website optimization (Nice-to-Have).
• Experience collaborating with remote growth, content, design, or marketing teams (Nice-to-Have).
