This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Collaborate with site or hub leadership to fulfill contractual obligations based on customer requirements and daily activities, which involve any part of the electrical and mechanical equipment utilized in the GE wind turbine generator.
• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of variable pitch and speed turbines along with converter components.
• Interpret and clarify schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety protocols and applicable compliance standards.
• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.
• Assist in all aspects of site operations as instructed by the manager with minimal oversight, while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct diagnostic analyses effectively and develop plans for prompt resolution.
• Record all completed tasks using computer-based service reporting systems.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center as needed.
• Support all facets of site operations as directed by the manager, while also mentoring colleagues.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Capability to successfully complete a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 4 years of wind troubleshooting experience, including a minimum of 1 year in an EHS, SQC, or Lead role; or a minimum of 6 years of wind troubleshooting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of wind troubleshooting experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Must possess and retain a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Ability and readiness to lift repetitive weights of up to 45 lbs. unassisted and climb towers exceeding 300 feet regularly.
• Meet and maintain designated manufacturer weight limits, not to exceed 300 lbs including necessary gear.
• Ability and willingness to work in diverse environments, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities.
• Effectively prioritize tasks in accordance with contract obligations.
• Ability and readiness to take initiative and operate without direct supervision.
• Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call as per site requirements, with occasional overnight stays as needed.
